Resilient Infrastructure for the Professional Services Community

Information is a key enabler for all enterprises, but we have seen a volume explosion of data in the last 3 to 4 years, with emails and their associated file attachments growing in size daily. This information is under constant threat from viruses and malware and now users want to be able to access this information remotely.

IT infrastructure requires continuous maintenance and retaining business critical information is becoming more important than ever. For any business to remain competitive, they need to embrace new technologies and services to keep them ahead of the game.

AIMES Grid Services (AGS) has a charter to bridge the digital divide for Liverpool City Region and is planning to provide local businesses with new real-time replication services and hosted applications.  These offerings help business to gain a competitive advantage whilst ensuring that confidential data and information is as secure as it can be. 

AIMES is currently leading a build programme that by the end of 2010 will see it operating three state of the art data centres across the Liverpool City Region.  This represents an opportunity for the Financial and Professional Services community to get an insight into digital infrastructure developments and what it means for you.

In a departure for Professional Liverpool this member event was held at the newly refurbished Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BX.  Following the usual format for these events, refreshments were provided from arrival at 12:30 p.m. whilst attendees took the opportunity to network.  The presentation began at 1:00 p.m. and concluded at 2:00 p.m.
